Anna Elise Johnson: "Back to the Garden" at Siematic in Dallas

From the organizers:

“CADD SPACE @ SieMatic is pleased to present Back to the garden, a group exhibition curated by Terri Provencal of Patron Magazine. The exhibition opens to the public on Saturday, April 17th with a curator walk-through from 2:00-2:30 pm. The walk-through is part of the event lineup included in April 17th’s Dallas Gallery Day. CADD SPACE @ SieMatic is open during the week by appointment only. See appointment details below. Back to the garden will be on view through Friday, June 11th.
The current exhibition Back to the garden takes Joni Mitchell’s Woodstock lyrics as its point of departure. Featuring work from the artists of CADD member galleries, the show embraces the collective need for spring healing. Shedding a year of turmoil and upheaval brought on by the pandemic and unspeakable acts of violence, the need to nurture all humans and protect Mother Earth, is interpreted through the work of the artist’s’ shown.

Participating in the exhibition are the following artists from CADD’s member galleries: Emmi Whitehorse, Courtesy of Kirk Hopper Fine Art; Anna Elise Johnson, Courtesy of Cris Worley Fine Arts; Anthony Sonnenberg, Courtesy of Conduit Gallery; Jeanine Michna-Bales, Courtesy of PDNB Gallery; Dornith Doherty and Joan Winter, Courtesy of Holly Johnson Gallery; Mary Vernon, Courtesy of Valley House Gallery & Sculpture Garden; Anna Membrino. In partnership with SieMatic, Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas launched CADD SPACE @ SieMatic in 2020. A space located within the SieMatic showroom, this alternative gallery presents an outside perspective of the white cube setting and fosters a natural synthesis of art and design. In addition to art exhibitions, CADD member galleries will use this space for various workshops, panel discussions, special juried shows, and exhibits by winners/participants of CADD Fund and CADD Prize.”
